It has been a long cold winter.  The weather broke records now it is your turn to do the same.  St. Hubertus is proud to say we are ready to start up the 2014 sporting clays season!  Hope to see you this Saturday, April 16, 2014.  Registration starts at 9am with the shooting starting at 10am.  Lunch will be served.

What can I say... 25 or so shooters and a PILE of rain.  Man was it wet!!!  I had a great time and shot well in the morning.  By the afternoon things went down hill but I still had a good time.   The food was fantastic with plenty of treats for desert!  The layout of the range was good and challenging: way to go Tim.

Hope to see more shooters at the October 20th shoot.  This is St. Hubertus's last shoot of the year so try not to miss it.  Also note that this is a Sunday shoot.

I have never been out to the Brokenhead range before (http://www.brokenheadrivergameandfish.ca).  I was very impressed!  As this is a new range the sporting clays stations are a little rough around the edges but time will smooth them out.  The new clubhouse is a gem.  This is a long course but the walking is easy and well sheltered by trees.  This was a 15 station event.  Some of the presentations were... to say the least... challenging.  Can you say:  shoot hard left... then hard right on a true pair!  wow....  Tim P. you are a master!  I highly suggest you try to get a shoot in at Brokenhead.

Okay... I know more than 160 people were at the DU shoot this past Sunday.  Over 50 shooters were there on Saturday.  I need to hear from you!!!  What did you think?  Was it a great shoot or what?  I know it was HOT but it beats rain.  Any complaints?  Any suggestions?  Speak up and be heard.

Hope to see everyone out this Saturday, May 25rd 2013, for the Sporting Clays shoot at St.Hubertus!!!  This is a fundraiser shoot for the Roughed Grouse Society (RGS).  After the shoot I would like to hear from everyone on what they liked or disliked about the shoot.  Any comments will be appreciated.

Just want to let everyone know  some information on items we want to improve for our next shoot:
- Improve the trails so that they are not wet or full of holes
- Setup the stations near the practice traps FIRST so that participants can start practicing sooner
- Move our burn pile out of sight
- Replace station garbage cans that are old and "crappy"
- Replace some of our station shooting stands
- Replace some of our station gun storage stands
- Add benches to each station so that shooters can have a rest

I hope that the above "fixes" will make the next shoot an even better experience for all shooters.
